Fremont County is becoming the wine country in Colorado.
Four businesses are applying for licenses to build wineries and cideries in the area.
The Winery at the Holy Cross Abbey in Canon City has been in business since the early 2000s.
“So we are here. We try to provide it for them and it is exciting to be part of this and we hope it does create a destination getaway in Fremont County,” said winemaker, Jeff Stultz.
Fremont County already has about 10 wineries and and cideries in the area.
