Cold Damage Mitigation in the Vineyard Seminar
Wednesday, April 26, 1:00 PM: Viticulture Seminar, “Mitigating Cold Damage of Grapevines,” with Dr. Imed Dami from The Ohio State University. The session takes place on the Colorado State University Fort Collins campus, Shepardson Hall Room 120 (Click for map).
Dr. Dami worked at the Orchard Mesa Research Station while earning his PhD in Horticulture at Colorado State University, so he is familiar with Colorado’s growing conditions. For the past 25 years, he has worked with both vinifera and cold-tolerant grape varieties in Ohio, which has experienced cold events more extreme and prolonged than recent events in Colorado.
This afternoon seminar is free, part of a USDA Specialty Crop Block Grant Program through the Colorado Dept. of Ag. Click here to register.
Dr. Dami will also be available for 3-hour, individual viticulture consultation sessions on April 26-27 in the northern Front Range area. If you are interested in scheduling a session with him, please contact him at dami.1@osu.edu. The cost is $100.
