The Ordinary Fellow is a family-owned craft winery in Palisade, Colorado making highly-rated wines rooted in classic French varietals and honest storytelling. We farm ancient vineyard sites throughout Southwest Colorado including Box Bar Vineyard-13-acres perched just 100 yards above Yucca House National Monument at the foot of the Sleeping Ute Mountain. Once home to thousands of Puebloan people, the land remains unexcavated with vineyard rows crossing two dug-out kivas. In respect for this history and in commitment to our future, we farm regeneratively, hand-pick every cluster and carry an eco-focused mindset from land to bottle.

Our portfolio includes white, rose, red and traditional-method sparkling wines bottled with minimal intervention and expressing the distinct character of our high-desert home in Western Colorado. Hospitality is at the heart of what we do. Our Tasting Room-voted #5 Best Tasting Room Experience in the USA by USA Today in 2023-offers a relaxed, welcoming setting with food trucks, seasonal drinks, winery tours and a special events space.

Winery Tours:

Looking to level up your Wine Tasting? Join us for a Wine Tour, a fun and informative 30–45 minute guided experience where we can get to know each other better. We’ll taste 4 wines, talk technique and what sets us apart, while touring the production side.

Thursday-Sunday every hour between 1PM-5PM.

Maximum group size is 12 people.

Supper Club
First Fridays | May–August
The table is set. The wine is ready. Join Chef Michael Winston and Winemaker Ben Parsons for an intimate Supper Club dinner series—multi-course meals paired with winery wines, shared with just 15–20 guests to keep the evening personal, cozy and conversation-filled.

Fuddle Fridays — Let’s Get Fuddled
Final Fridays | May–October | 6–8 PM
Our open-table potluck tradition. Bring a dish, grab a seat and share the table with neighbors and new friends. We’ll pour the wine. Before the night ends, vote for the best dish in the old wine-stomping boot—the winner takes home a bottle on us.

Throughout the season you’ll also find our Boozy Book Fair, curated by Harlow Palisade and West Slope Mercantile—plus monthly Wine & Watercolor classes with local artist Lily Cain and a rotating lineup of artisan markets featuring talented local makers.
