Colorado Grape Grower Monthly Conference Call for July

The first Monday of each month, beginning at 9 AM, the CWIDB hosts an informal conference call for all grape-growers in Colorado.  We will be joined by an expert, specialist or speaker to address a timely topic for 20-30 minutes, followed by Q&A and grower discussion of current issues and questions.

On Monday, July 2, 9:00 AM, Dr. Joan Davenport, professor of soil science at Washington State University, will join our call to talk about nutrient management and soil nutrients, particularly with reference to reduced water availability and high soil pH and sodium. Dr. Davenport’s research focuses on an array of projects designed to understand soil variability and how to manage water and nutrients for economically sustainable, environmentally friendly agricultural production.  Click on the link above to read more about Dr. Davenport and her research.

You can join this conference call each month by going to www.uberconference.com/cwidb in your web browser.  Log in with your name then select whether to join the audio portion of the conference using VoIP on your computer or by calling 720.515.1880 on your phone.  Although our speakers may have a brief video presentation, you will not need to join the meeting on-line.

If you would like to join the meeting in person, you can go to CSU’s Western Colorado Research Center-Orchard Mesa, 3168 B 1/2 Road, Grand Junction, CO 81503-9621 or at the Colorado Dept. of Ag, 305 Interlocken Parkway, Broomfield, CO 80021.
