Hours
The Storm Cellar's salesroom and outdoor tasting overlook are open Thursday through Sunday, noon until 7:00 p.m., Memorial Day weekend through the end of October.
Founded in 2017, The Storm Cellar is a boutique winery based in Hotchkiss, Colorado, overlooking the North Fork Valley, which produces high-quality, crisp, and aromatic white, rosé, and sparkling wines, regeneratively farmed and meticulously crafted by the hands of former Denver sommeliers, Jayme Henderson and Steve Steese.
The Storm Cellar was awarded “Colorado Winery of the Year“ in 2023 by the Colorado Association for Viticulture and Enology, a peer-given award presented to a winery that has advanced the widespread recognition and quality of Colorado wines. Since its launch in 2019, The Storm Cellar has been featured in over 100 media publications, including a cover-story feature in the weekend edition of The Wall Street Journal for its annual Thanksgiving wine coverage and a winery highlight in Wine Enthusiast‘s article, “The Best Colorado Wineries to Visit Right Now.” In addition, The Storm Cellar has been awarded more double-gold medals at the Colorado Governor’s Cup Competition in the past seven years than any other winery, including a record-setting five double-gold medals in the 2025 competition.
Visit their outdoor wine-tasting room, overlooking the North Fork Valley, this summer season, where they host guided tastings and feature culinary events every weekend. The Storm Cellar is open Memorial Day weekend through the end of October, Thursday through Sunday, noon until 7:00 p.m. No reservations are required for tastings.
