Colorado Uncorked, the public tasting of the Governor's Cup Collection

Only great Wines make history!

Join us for this special event, held at the beautiful History Colorado Center, offering 500 people the only chance to taste the 2021 Governor’s Cup Collection in one place, at one time, all paired with small bite menu items prepared by some of Colorado’s most celebrated chefs.

The Collection are wines selected by our judges, who are national and regional wine professionals, as the most acclaimed wines made in Colorado. And many of them are made in very limited quantities.

The Colorado Wine Industry Development Board (CWIDB), the Colorado Department of Agriculture (CDA), and the Office of Governor Jared Polis, the organizers of Colorado Uncorked, take the COVID-19 pandemic seriously and wish to provide all Uncorked participants with the safest experience possible. Because Colorado Uncorked is a food and wine tasting event, masking is not an option for attendees. Therefore, the organizers will require all attendees to provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 or proof of a negative COVID-19 test within the previous 72 hours (on or after Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2021) along with a photo ID valid for proof of age and identification to enter the event.

Acceptable forms of proof of vaccination include:

  • CDC-issued vaccination card
  • Photo of CDC-issued vaccination card
  • A digital copy obtained from the Colorado Immunization Information System, or the myColorado app.
  • You can download the app at mycolorado.state.co.us and once you verify your Colorado ID or Driver License, use it for proof of ID and age as well.
  • If you have an exemption from receiving vaccinations due to medical reasons, you will need to provide a medical exemption signed by a medical professional AND have a negative COVID-19 test result within 72 hours of Uncorked (on or after Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2021).

We have reduced the number of attendees this year as well as spread out the winery tables over more space in an effort to make the event safer. All staff, volunteers, and pourers are required to wear masks during the event.

If you have been exposed to COVID-19 recently, are feeling ill, running a fever, showing other symptoms, or have had a positive COVID test result within the previous two weeks (on or after Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021), we ask that you not attend Colorado Uncorked.  You can view the Center for Disease Control’s (CDC’s) list of Covid-19 symptoms here.

If you have already purchased a ticket and are unable to attend due to illness, exposure to someone with COVID-19, or the inability to provide proof of vaccination, we will refund your ticket purchase and fees.

Should you have questions or concerns about these procedures, please contact Doug Caskey, doug.caskey@state.co.us or 303.869.9177.

Thank you for your cooperation and for staying safe.
